Aromatherapy

Citrus blossum, evening primrose, sweet acacia. Evening breezes waft intoxicating scents in the desert air. When I walk out into my backyard garden, I feel a peculiar calm, almost narcotic, from the blissful aroma of Valencia orange blossoms blooming next to my patio. On an evening run, the bittersweet odor of phacelia lifts my spirits and my step. A pinch of wild lavender, and a swig of creosote leaf cure any doldrums of the day. I breathe deep and let the plant medicine brighten my spirit.
